Don’t bounce back…please.
How you recover shapes the body you’ll live in for years to come. I provide personalized, evidence-based pelvic and obstetric physical therapy at home, to help you heal, restore, and protect your postpartum body, as safely and efficiently as possible.
HEAL
from 1 week to 2 months
Support early scar and tissue healing of perineum, and abdomen. Early implementation of gentle muscle activation with posture and functional movement training to facilitate musculoskeletal corrections. Focus will be on protection and education to understand your specific recovery process and building a sustainable recovery program with home ergonomics.
RESTORE
from 1 week to 6+ months
Activate and coordinate key muscles groups to restore pelvic floor, core stability and postural balance as quickly and safely as possible. Identify new and old injuries to ensure protection with new demands of childcare. Integrate and adapt structural realignment, movement stabilization and coordination to build strength and endurance at your personal pace of healing to continuously meet you where you are.
PROTECT
from 1 week to 6+ months
Ongoing training with your personal healing progression and readiness for return to your specific higher intensity movements and activities. Address new injuries from childcare as they arise such as wrist pain, shoulder and back pain or discomfort with sexual intimacy. Design realistic and enjoyable exercises for sustainability.
Here’s why.
Pregnancy and childbirth are among the most physically demanding and unpredictable experiences a body can go through. In the postpartum period, deep, structural vulnerabilities in the pelvis, low back and abdomen often remain hidden, affecting how you move and rebuild the body that you carry forward. Healing is rarely complete at six weeks; for most, it continues well into the first year.
Between the nine months to childbirth and the years afterwards is a critical opportunity that we are learning about.
Research and global standards in countries like France, confirms early specialized physical therapy, within the first weeks, is an effective, evidence-based strategy for reducing chronic postpartum complications.
I offer at-home physical therapy to:
begin early healing and restoration of your body while protecting your body
accommodate partners and family members to build continuous support around you
integrate your daily environment into your recovery program
personalize your program for your fastest, safest recovery based on your ability not generic guidelines or timelines
meet you where your true healing is taking place
““The need for quality maternity and newborn care does not stop once a baby is born. Parents need strong healthcare and support systems, especially women, whose needs are too often neglected when the baby comes.””

Currently, I work out-of-network to offer the higher level of care I truly believe women need instead of what insurance-based models often allow. This includes in-home support that focuses on what is most important for each new mother - to heal fully and safely, with the time, presence, and guidance this stage of life truly calls for.
Understanding this represents a greater financial investment, I provide superbills you can submit to insurance for partial reimbursement as per your specific out-of-network benefits.

Every mother’s recovery is unique and depends on her birth journey and overall physical status. It can be anywhere from six weeks to six months and beyond.
Once you’ve healed enough to safely endure driving, walking or moving around the community, it’s easier to transition to clinic based care to continue your rehab program.. My goal is to establish a safe and strong foundation in the early recovery period with clear personalized education that you can continue to build upon in the weeks and months that follow.

The frequency of therapy is personalized for each mother based on her medical status, needs, strength, and goals. We’ll determine this together, but most begin with sessions one to two times per week to support safe, steady progress.

While postpartum recovery is a core focus for me, I do work with women through every stage of life including pregnancy and return to sports, to perimenopause and beyond.

Because most women aren’t homebound during pregnancy, there are more options for specialized physical therapy. However, if you prefer at-home physical therapy or need it due to a high-risk pregnancy, I’ll be happy to provide that support.
